Dry Type Transformers

Recon’s manufactures Dry Type Transformer ranging up to 2000 KVA with voltage class of 11 KV. These Transformers are fitted in enclosed body for Indoor installations. Recon’s Dry Type Transformer is totally maintenance free and safe from fire as material used are metals, ceramics, fiber glass / nomex. It is environment friendly as there is no oil, hence handling becomes easier and there are no chance of spillages and leakage and there is minimal non-toxic smoke in case of fire. Use of Class F insulation increases the heat bearing capacity & enables the use of the transformer in humid and chemically polluted atmosphere. Applications :
Fire safety and environmental aspects are of increasing importance especially in respect of energy supply. The substitution of oil-filled transformers by dry type transformers is one of the most important steps towards it. Dry Type transformer is used when it has to be located near load center and in a fire hazardous place. As there is no oil used in the transformer and special types of fire resistant insulations are used for winding, the fire risk is considerably reduced.
